The Algarve is the Land of The Trails so it’s only right to host here the competition that awards the best of the best when it comes to trail riding.
The winner of this competition will win a hand-made trophy and a full ticket for next year’s OWA event (OWATour, OWARace, OWARace Camp and OWAWeekend - more than 2000€ value)

How does the BETR competition work?
In the cliffside trails right next to the OWARacetrack there’s tons of challenging sections, both downhills and uphills.
Amongst all of them we will select a few that will count for the competition. Here you will need more than just skill, you’ll need to be a bit of a crazy rider as well!
After the Mass Race on Friday we’ll show you the qualifying areas where you will need to complete the challenges! If you don’t complete them right away don’t worry, you’ll have until Sunday at lunchtime to go back there with a friend, record yourself doing that and uploading it to the dedicated group chat.
If you complete all of the qualifying challenges, you’ll have the chance of competing Sunday afternoon in the craziest downhills you’ve ever done!!!
The BETR final competition will close the OWARace event so you’ll have plenty of time to practice in the days before.
